This video shows how the leather is made. Converting animal skins into leather is like recycling. They cut half of the animal skin. They load the skins into the cement mixture with some mixture which is done by water, sodium sulfarate and lime. First they submerge the skins into the acid for absorbing the tanning solts. They feed up leather with the machine that splits them up into layers. They check the thickness of the layers with the gage. In the 2nd tanning part they use vegetable extract which is tree bark and water. They add some dye and chemical to make the water to make the leather resistent. This tans the leather into brownish tone and it is more softer. They brush starch and water on the leather and they stick it on the glass for drying. The reason for the glass is make it without shrinking and stops the ends curling up. This was the most interesting part. Four hours later after it dries they peel it from the glass. The machine sprays the leather to enhance the color. The other machine creates some friction and polishes the leather. Many tools can made by this leather. Boots, belts etc..
